The Corrs get things going

The Corrs, John Fogerty, Raphael, Guillem Gis­bert, Estopa, Pas­sen­ger, Andrés Cala­maro, Chris Isaak, Pau López, Rozalén, Ser­gio Dalma, The Tyets and Sara Baras are some of the big name artists who will be per­form­ing at this sum­mer’s Cap Roig music fes­ti­val, which will be held from July 12 to Au­gust 16 in the Cap Roig Gar­dens in Calella de Palafrugell.

The fa­mous Irish band The Corrs will open the Costa Brava music fes­ti­val, which is or­gan­ised by the Clip­per’s Group with the sup­port of Caix­a­Bank, while Cata­lan band Gos­sos will bring the event to a close. Mean­while, The Tyets will take to the stage for this year’s sol­i­dar­ity con­cert on July 28, the pro­ceeds from which will go to the El Tram­polí foun­da­tion, which helps peo­ple with phys­i­cal dis­abil­i­ties.

Com­plet­ing the line-up of 23 per­for­mances will be Cana­dian jazz pi­anist and singer Diana Krall, vet­eran Cata­lan band Sopa de Cabra, Madrid rock­ers Los Se­cre­tos, Span­ish-Ger­man singer Álvaro Soler, Tabu­rete, Miki Núñez, Car­les Sans, Los Ronal­dos front­man Coque Malla and Gos­sos, while El Pot Petit with La Black Music Big Band will star in this edi­tion’s Cap Roig Mini, the fes­ti­val’s event for chil­dren.

For an­other year, the Vil­lage space will be man­aged by Cal Blay Food Lovers, along with the broth­ers Ser­gio and Javier Tor­res from the Cocina Her­manos Tor­res restau­rant in Barcelona, which will offer vis­i­tors a menu es­pe­cially cre­ated for the fes­ti­val.
