En plena revolta antiracista als EUA per l’assassinat de George Floyd, pren una significació especial la denúncia que Spike Lee fa amb aquest film basat en fets reals i protagonitzat per John David Washington i Adam Driver. Un policia negre es va infiltrar al Ku Klux Klan a Colorado Springs (Colorado), a principi dels 70.
