Sónar
Electronic dance music
This year, Sónar aims to give expression to all the rhythms of dance culture, which means we will get everything from A$AP Rocky to Bad Bunny, from Arca to Holly Herndon, from Dixon to Disclosure, from Dellafuente to Dengue Dengue Dengue, from Four Tet to Floating Points, from Kaytranada to Lil Uzi Vert, from Cecilio G to Skepta, from Fennesz to Matthew Herbert... you get the idea. A total of 140 shows will take place between July 18 and 20 on the nine stages distributed between Sónar by Day (Fira Montjuïc in Barcelona) and Sónar by Night (Gran Via de l’Hospitalet). Unlike other editions, this one will go on into the summer as opposed to just June.
Sónar+D, the congress of Creative Technologies that this year is being treated as a form of summer school, will address issues such as experience design, artificial intelligence, the new internet that is coming, quantum computing and a good representation of creators specialising in music technology, such as teamLab, Yukiyasu Kamitani, Teenage Engineering, Daito Manabe, CANADA or Hamill Industries, and Timoni West (XR in Unity Labs), among others.
