Barcelona to act against school segregation
Barcelona’s education consortium is to put an action plan into effect against segregation in schools. The plan will go into effect in the next academic year, although it will begin to be applied in the inscription period that begins on March 29. The plan puts the focus on local schooling, which it considers key for balancing school intake. Thus for the next school year, 831 places at the P3 level and 843 places in the first year of ESO will be assigned according to the situations of vulnerability detected by the consortium.
