Rebellion on Paseo del Prado

Marchena and Co could have taken ad­van­tage of yes­ter­day’s demon­stra­tion to ob­serve in the first per­son, with­out pros­e­cu­tor in­ter­me­di­aries, or false tes­ti­monies from Civil Guards this par­tic­u­larly Cata­lan “re­bel­lion” which seems to get them so het up. The peo­ple who ex­pressed them­selves yes­ter­day on the Paseo del Prado were the same human mass that on Sep­tem­ber 20, 2017, were as­sem­bled in front of the HQ of the Min­istry of Econ­omy or that on Oc­to­ber 1 of that year went to the polling sta­tions to vote. Grand­par­ents, cou­ples, par­ents with kids, youths, groups of friends. Nor­mal peo­ple, de­fend­ing an ideal. Peace­ful peo­ple who only have one great and se­ri­ous de­fect; they like to vote.
