Valverde: “We all realise Europe is special”
Coaches always tend to say the competition that best determines the capabilities of a team is the league and that is the title they value most. Fans, on the other hand, tend to prefer the Champions League because it has a special magic. However, prior to Barça’s second leg home tie against Lyon tonight, coach Ernesto Valverde admitted that he also notices it. “You do notice something special when you prepare a Champions League game. We all do as coaches and players. It’s a special competition.“
