Putin is now denying internet isolation plan

Yes­ter­day, the day after a huge protest against the Russ­ian sov­er­eign in­ter­net bill (a law which is being drafted in order to make it pos­si­ble to dis­con­nect the Russ­ian in­ter­net from the rest of the world) the Russ­ian gov­ern­ment an­nounced that the bill is not de­signed to re­strict the free­dom of in­ter­net users in the coun­try in the event of ex­ter­nal threats.
