Futurescope’s new Catalan attraction

Children are the focus of Futuroscope’s latest initiative, which will see 1.5 million euros invested in a new nine-hectare attraction called Futuropolis, The City of Children. Currently, some 56% of visitors to the multimedia theme park in Poitiers are families with children.

The new attraction has a Catalan contribution, as the TP Arquitectura i Construcció Tèxtil company, based in Cornellà del Terri, in Pla de l’Estany, has been charged with building one of the main new attractions: the Aqualympic Stadium. The park aims to open this collection of five elastic platforms floating on a lake in April.

TP Arquitectura i Construcció Tèxtil is a family firm with more than 30 years of experience in the textile construction sector, which includes inflatables. They specialise “in the development, production and setting up of unique projects,” according to Ton Miserachs, who founded the company with Pilar Navarro.
