Palau Sant Jordi architect wins top architecture prize
Japanese architect Arata Isozaki, 87, who designed the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, has won the Pritzker 2019 Prize for a work that “goes beyond the framework of architecture to raise issues that transcend borders”, according to the jury of the prestigious award, the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in architecture.
