Anti-semitic incidents in France up 74%
In line with the surge in far-right politics in France, anti-semitic abuse -that which has been reported- has increased by 74% over the same period last year. The phenomenon seems to be occurring in many different areas of society, and has been notable even in universities, and the recent “yellow vest” protests. Sociologist Martine Cohen says its is a sign of a “crisis of representation”.
