Syrian spies arrested for torturing 2,000

Two ex-members of the Syrian secret service were arrested in Germanyyesterday. The prosecutor’s office reported that they are being accused of crimes against humanity. The suspects were arrested in Berlin and Rhineland-Palatinate and are said to have participated in torturing and physically abusing at least 2,000 people in detention centers pertaining to the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
