Emilio Lara wins the Edhasa prize for historical fiction

An­thro­pol­o­gist and teacher Emilio Lara has won the Ed­hasa prize for his­tor­i­cal fic­tion with Tiem­pos de Es­per­anza (times of hope). It is a novel about war, fa­nati­cism and fear, as well as friend­ship, love and hope, and is set in 2012 dur­ing the Chil­dren’s Cru­sade. Mem­bers of the panel re­marked on his well sketched char­ac­ters, the range of sce­nar­ios pre­sented to the reader and the strong dose of hu­man­ity in­stilled.
