Llamazares resigned in United Left power struggle
Asturian United Left MP Gaspar Llamazares yesterday announced his resignation and his decision not to stand in the Asturian regional elections. The parties’ state leadership opened a case against him last month in relation to the Actúa platform he co-founded two years ago. Llamazares chose not to attend the meeting scheduled for yesterday to discuss this and to leave his post but not the party.
