Mayors rebel against “racist, repressive” law

Mayors in Italy have been openly disobeying the so-called Salvini Decree, named for the Minister of Interior, Matteo Salvini. The set of laws is being said to make immigration illegal, and thereby removed immigrants’ rights to social support and care, including thousands of mothers and children. “Every totalitarian regime has started with racist laws like these”, said the Mayor of Palermo.
