Reig Jofre to invest €30m in Sant Joan Despí plant

Pharmaceutical company Reig Jofre will invest €30m in expanding its sterile injectable medicines plant in Sant Joan Despí, which it estimates will create 100 jobs once it is fully operational. The company says the work will be completed at the end of 2020, and expects the expanded plant will go into full operation in 2021, once all the necessary health authorisations have been obtained in the US and Europe. There are currently 340 people working in the plant, which will initially be expanded by 20, and then 100.
