Sánchez to appear in Strasbourg during 1-O trial

Whilst Mariano Rajoy never visited the European Court of Human Rights once in his seven year term, Pedro Sánchez will head there on the 7th of February, whilst also attending the European Council. Aides close to the president say the meeting at the ECHR is to discuss “pending and issued sentences”, though it is unclear as to whether Catalonia will feature on the agenda during the state visit.
