Canadian arrested in China after Huawei case

The Vice Pres­i­dent of the Huawei telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions giant, Meng Wanzhou, made bail in Canada, now she awaits the United States’ for­mal ex­tra­di­tion re­quest. After her three-day bail hear­ing China con­firmed that a for­mer Cana­dian diplo­mat, Michael Kovrig, had been ar­rested. The gov­ern­ment has al­leged that the as­so­ci­a­tion he works for is not reg­is­tered in China.
