Staff and patients protest at Móra d’Ebre Hospital

Health care workers at the Móra d’Ebre Hospital yesterday started a shutdown at the center’s reception which has lasted into this morning. They are protesting the use of the funds they have left to cover the deficit of the San Juan Hospital in Reus and the lack of funding and cuts at their center. The Móra d’Ebre business committee and the town council decided to leave their place on the board of directors of the hospital management agency Gecohsa because they are not being heard. The Reus center appears likely to finish 2018 with minus 2.5 million euro, and this might be dealt with using funds from Móra.
