Commemorative year for thinker Panikkar launches

It is Panikkar Year and a range of ac­tiv­i­ties are planned to com­mem­o­rate the cen­te­nary of the thinker: The cu­ra­tor of the com­mem­o­ra­tion, Ig­nasi Moreta, said yes­ter­day: “After Ramon Llull, Panikkar is Cat­alo­nia’s most im­por­tant thinker in the sphere of in­ter­cul­tural and in­ter­re­li­gious re­flec­tion.” The Cata­lan gov­ern­ment and Barcelona city coun­cil are work­ing to­gether on the com­mem­o­ra­tive year.
