Growing risk of work-related diseases

Manufacturing liquid crystal screens or extracting oil or gas by means of fracking increases the risk of lung cancer or respiratory diseases, according to a study published in The Lancet and involving Dr. Xavier Muñoz at Vall d'Hebron hospital. This means that diseases previously caused by working in the mines or handling asbestos now affect workers in new technologies.
