Wine cellar. ANNA VICENS
Wine route through Andorra (3)
In the morning
Casa Auvinyà is one of four wineries in Sant Julià de Lòria, in the town of Auvinyà in the south of the Principality of Andorra. What is most peculiar about its location is its 1,200m altitude, planted in vines, on slopes steeper than 60% which are oriented to the west.
The origin of the the vineyard dates back to March 2005, when the Andorran agriculture ministry accepted the proposal of the winery to begin research on grape growing and winemaking in the Principality. With the results in hand, Casa Auvinyà developed its project to produce quality wines respecting the demands of the terrain.
It is now a reality: Casa Auvinyà has 5,000 vines planted, of both white and red varieties, with an annual production of 1,500 bottles of Evolution Pinot, Evolution Syrah and the white “snow” wine Imagine, a mixture of Viognier and Pinot Gris. The unique location of the winery in such surprising terrain allows guests to enjoy an environment and biodiversity that shows clearly in the wines.
Guided tours, individuals and groups of up to 10 people due to the size of the cellar.

For lunch
The restaurant is located in the historic center of Andorra La Vella, very close to the commercial hub of the capital. It opened ten years ago and from the beginning aimed to maintain the authenticity and respect for products bred, grown and harvested locally. This dedication to Andorra itself is also shown in the restaurant being actively involved in sporting, cultural and local associations. The restaurant seats just 30 diners and also has private rooms and a banquet service. It offers a variety of homemade dishes, and also has a large menu for people with celiac intolerance and other allergies.
All the dishes are prepared from seasonal produce grown in the restaurant's gardens on the mountain. There are a variety of vegetables used in the preparation of many dishes and products can be found both in the restaurant and in the shop, along with other outlets in Andorra. The restaurant also sells vegetables and legumes they and other local farmers grow under their own brand.Everything is cultivated in an environmentally friendly way, using the integrated production system to ensure the process is as healthy as possible.
Open Monday to Saturday by reservation.
