Autumn begins with a bit of everything

Tiurana in Noguera produces bean varieties and chili peppers, celebrated in the Fira del Bitxo i de la Mongeta. Tiurana chili peppers (bitxo in Catalan) are sweet, and visitors have plenty of opportunity to try them in tasting sessions, contests and cookery demonstrations.

Vall de Camprodon has its own potatoes known as trumfes, and a fair dedicated to them in Molló in Ripollès. Visitors get to learn more about the potatoes, and a chance to try craft cheeses and the season's first wild mushrooms. A highlight is the traditional potato peeling contest.

Strawberries, peas, cheese, wine... Maresme is one of Catalonia's pantries and every year Calella dedicates five days to showing off local produce in the Fira de Calella i l'Alt Maresme. This year is the 35th edition, where visitors can learn more about the local produce.

Rice cultivation is one of the most important agricultural activities to be found in the Delta de l'Ebre. Thus, every September, the town of Deltebre has a number activities associated with the local rice as part of the Festa de la Sega de l'Arròs.

Alguaire in Segrià promotes the local figs known as Coll de Dama in a biannual fair that includes workshops on cookery and crafts, courses, tasting sessions and itineraries to learn about the local figs, how they are produced and consumed. There is also a market of local producers.

Hostalric provides a mix of culture, gastronomy and art in Gastroart, a gourmet fair of craft and farmhouse products, tasting sessions, workshops and cookery demonstrations. The fair also has shows, a correfoc procession, guided visits and exhibitions for the whole family.
