97% of women targeted while out at night
Some 97% of women have experienced situations of sexual violence against them in a leisure environment at night, according to the report, Observatori Noctambul@s, by the Health and Community Foundation. The study was based on surveys of 1,500 women all over Spain, some 1,200 of whom were over 16. The study also found that 86% of women have continued to receive unwanted attention despite their refusal, 81% have been touched without their consent, and 22% have been raped.
