Pope in historic visit to United Arab Emirates

Yesterday the Pope began his three day trip in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he will speak to defend inter-religious dialogue. This is the first time a Catholic pontiff has visited the Arab Peninsula. Before boarding his flight yesterday, he asked that those involved in the war in Yemen respect the current peace accords “urgently”, to keep the port of Hodeida open to distribute aid.
