Pensioners rally in support of public pension system

Over 2,000 people turned out in Barcelona yesterday for a rally called by the so-called ’Marea Pensionista’ (Pensioners’ Tide), in defence of the public pension system. The march, which included senior citizens from different places in the metro area, was mirrored in other Catalan cities, such as Girona, Tarragona, Lleida and Reus, and in a total of 200 cities around Spain.
