11 airlines fined over half a million euros

The Department of Enterprise and Knowledge, via the Catalan Consumer Agency, has fined eleven airlines a total of €533,040 over the past three years (2016, 2017 and 2018). The company to have suffered the highest amount in sanctions is Vueling, with €307,740, around 58% of the total fines. It is followed by Ryanair, with fines of €46,000; American Airlines, with €37,600 and EasyJet, with €37,200. Most of the fines were for flight delays and a lack of information for passengers.
