Llamazares resigned in United Left power struggle

As­turian United Left MP Gas­par Lla­mazares yes­ter­day an­nounced his res­ig­na­tion and his de­ci­sion not to stand in the As­turian re­gional elec­tions. The par­ties’ state lead­er­ship opened a case against him last month in re­la­tion to the Actúa plat­form he co-founded two years ago. Lla­mazares chose not to at­tend the meet­ing sched­uled for yes­ter­day to dis­cuss this and to leave his post but not the party.
