“Maduro will be usurping Presidency”

The National Assembly of Venezuela, controlled by parties in opposition to President Nicolas Maduro, who has presided over an unprecedented collapse of the Latin AMerican oil-rich state, has elected a new assembly president, Juan Guaidó, and demanded military assistance to “restore democracy”. Maduro, in theory, should be sworn in for another six year term on January 10th.
