School application dates will be from March 29 to April 9
The education department has announced March 29 to April 9 as the dates to apply for places in public schools for the 2019/2020 academic year. The dates were chosen so that the application period will take place before Easter, which this year falls in the third week of April. The department also says that it will publish the modifications to the rules for the admission procedure in February. The department says the changes will be aimed at helping to eliminate segregation in public schools.
