New rental bikes to be installed in Barcelona

Lead­ers of Barcelona City Coun­cil and Ped­alem pre­sented the new Bic­ing ser­vice yes­ter­day. From Jan­u­ary 8th, the re­place­ment of the 424 sta­tions will take three months, in which time the old and new sys­tems will co­ex­ist. The tran­si­tion will begin in Nou Bar­ris and Sant An­dreu and will add a thou­sand bikes, to­tal­ing 6,000 me­chan­i­cal and 1,000 elec­tric.
