Six dead and sixteen injured in train crash

Six pas­sen­gers were killed and six­teen more were in­jured yes­ter­day in a train crash that took place on Store­baelt bridge, one of the Great Belt bridges link­ing Den­mark’s main is­lands, Den­mark of­fi­cials said. Those who were wounded are now out of dan­ger. The pas­sen­ger train was head­ing to Copen­hagen when, at around 7:30 in the morn­ing, de­bris from a freight train com­ing in the op­po­site di­rec­tion (to­wards Fyn) hit it forc­ing the train to brake sud­denly. A heavy storm was rag­ing at the time.
