Barcelona to ban bicycles from pavements on Jan 1
From January 1, bicycles will not be allowed to circulate on pavements between 3 and 4.75 metres in width. The measure comes after an expansion and renovation of the city’s cycle lanes, which now make up over 200 kilometres, according to the Barcelona council. The expanded network means that almost 90% of residents have a cycle lane within 300 metres of their homes.
