Tsunami alert level increased in Indonesia

Fur­ther ac­tiv­ity at the Anak Kraka­toa vol­cano, which last Sat­ur­day caused a tsunami, killing 430 peo­ple and leav­ing over 150 miss­ing, in the Strait of Sonda in In­done­sia, has meant that the Vol­canol­ogy In­sti­tute has raised its tsunami alert level from 2 to 3, out of 4. The Na­tional Dis­as­ter Man­age­ment Agency (BNPB) banned any ac­tiv­ity within 5km of the crater.
