Fina Puigdevall wins national gastronomy prize

Chef and owner of Les Cols restau­rant in Olot, Fina Puigde­vall, has won the Na­tional Gas­tron­omy Prize for 2019. Cat­alo­nia’s Acad­emy of Gas­tron­omy and Nu­tri­tion awarded Puigde­vall the prize in recog­ni­tion of her con­tri­bu­tion to Cata­lan cui­sine. Puigde­vall restau­rant’s has two Miche­lin stars and has be­come one of the most pres­ti­gious in the coun­try. The acad­emy also recog­nised chef of the Es­ti­mar restau­rant in Barcelona, Rafa Zafra, and Joan Car­les Núñez, of the Lasarte restau­rant.
