Hands off Catalan language policy, warns Ruiz

Catalan education minister, Meritxell Ruiz, yesterday warned the State and other autonomous communities that any statewide pact on education must scrupulously respect community statutes and Catalan linguistic policy. In a meeting of state education ministers, Ruiz pointed out that the Lomqe education reform was passed with a PP absolute majority and without consensus.
